Warning: Artist at Play

Hi people of the internet! I'm Hallie Smith (pronounced like Halle Berry or like 'Sally' but instead of the 's' there's an 'h' haha). I'm an artist trying to make her way in this crazy world we all call home. My little corner of the art community often times looks like illustration and increasingly uses paints of a few varieties. I'm more focused in oil paint now, but I won't rule out some of the others in my work. I do also work quite a bit in photoshop for digital drawing and paintings.

I'm also now a full fledged addict... to none other than bullet journaling. When I heard through he grapevine that there was a whole community of people making their own daily planners, I thought "what could be more perfect!" I absolutely LOVE the blend of organization (which for me is hard because yes, I am a scatterbrained artist sometimes) and creativity with art. I searched for days to find the right journal. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one out there who has a fascination for notebooks and journals, right? Finally, I found a dot-grid journal and got to work!

This blog will be a mash-up of a bunch of different things ranging from lifestyle to art advice and everything in between. Enjoy!
